En 2002 sort l'album Solitaire de Doc Gyneco. Un titre bien Funky dedans, Funky maxime, ca sentait le sample a plein nez. Il existe quelques promos copy et remix de ce titre chez Virgin, mais difficile de mettre la main dessus. Ecoutez le sample (attention la vidéo commence vers 20 secondes)



Voici donc l'original, le super underated Jermaine Jackson et son You've got to Hurry Girl tiré du Lp let's Get Serious en 1980. On va reparler de ce Lp et de Jermaine parce que plus d'une perle se dissimulent dans sa discographie. Seul bémol la qualité sonore est plus que moyenne aussi bien sur le Lp que sur les compilations funky Collector où est sorti ce titre.

Gary Bartz, saxophonist and clarinetist, worked pretty much with the biggest, Donald Byrd, Alphonse Mouzon, Miles Davis... First solo album in 1967, and a lot until the last in 2001, Live in Montreal. In 77 he relesead Music is My Sanctuary for Capitol records. One of the Top Mizell brothers production. All The tracks are nice, a must have. A Cd was released on the Collection Master Of Funk and Soul few years ago. A killer jazz Funk Lp, Don't miss Music is My Sanctuary and Swing Thing, Enjoy!

Bobby lyle, american jazz pianist, started his career with the band Young-Holt Unlimited. in 76, he worked with Sly and The Family Stone. Since 77, he released about 15 albums, the last one, Hands on, in 2006. The Genie is his first solo album, A killer Jazz Funk Lp, Enjoy! The Track You Think of her was sampled by Dj Premier in an unreleased instrumental demo, Dadaa. Anyway, one of the best Lp of the genre.
